You know, with all the negativity assaulting us from every channel on television today, it’s absolutely WONDERFUL to shut out the world and get away to a place where family still matters and stays close to one another, people still say hello when they see you on the street and matchmaking is the norm. Well, if that sounds as amazing to you as it does to me, pick up M.K. Meredith’s newest novella set in the beautiful vineyard town of St. Helena, CA.
Falling for You released today and I highly recommend you read it if you love HEAs (Happily Ever Afters 😍 ) with just the perfect amount of sizzle to satisfy your need for romance in the bedroom (or the hallway, or the kissing booth, or a kid’s changing room 😀 ). Let me tell you a little about the couple featured in Falling for You. Sage Mathews, a talented cartoonist moves back to St. Helena to be around family, to work at the newspaper her grandfather began, and frankly, to find the man of her dreams. I mean, why not? “When you need money, you go to a bank, when you need love, you go to St. Helena Vineyards.” All of her cousins have found love in the beautiful little town nestled in the heart of California Wine Country. It’s now her turn. Parker Edwards is a man on a mission. He is coming to St. Helena to get the floundering newspaper, The St. Helena Sentinel, back on track and get back to the L.A. groove that he adores. An added bonus would be if he could finally impress his grandfather, Sage’s late grandfather’s best friend and all-around gruff man and also the head of the board running the newspaper, who has yet to be impressed by anything Parker has done. He’s also a pillar of the community and therefore, the reason that Parker is determined to leave the small town in his rear-view mirror as soon as possible. What neither Sage or Parker are prepared for are each other and the instant attraction and almost magnetic pull they feel toward each other. They’re both on the same page when it comes to the desire to save the paper, but they couldn’t be further apart on how to do so. Parker has a major problem seeing the importance of Sage’s job, he thinks of it more as a hobby and can’t imagine how digitizing the paper will hurt the comic Sage prepares every day. It’s this problem that is the crux of their inability to see each other and their worth. It’s this problem that could possibly tear them apart.
M.K. has created characters that are fun and easy to love right from the start. Sage is a total goofball and Parker’s stoic demeanor cracks as soon as he saves them both from what can only be described as an alpaca invasion (😀 ). This novella is 100 pages of fun and laughter, family, love, pain and second-chances, you know, basically all the feels. It’s steamy, has a super-hot scene that will definitely get your blood pumping and also long for more. M.K. creates a wonderful town that truly, you’ll want to visit. St. Helena Vineyards and sit at the cafe or check out The Boulder Holder and meet Grandie. Falling for You is a sweet story that can help you relax and take an hour or two for yourself. M.K. dedicates Falling for You “to all the hopeless romantics” and I think that she absolutely delivers a novella that any hopeless romantic (Hi, I’m Kelli and I’m a hopeless romantic) will love. Thank you, M.K., for a sweet story with fabulous characters and a stunning backdrop!! 😍
