The Journey of Writing

Sometimes the destination is worth the journey. Sometimes the journey is worth the destination. Sometimes the journey is hard and the desination is absolutely not worth it. Sometimes the journey is easy and the destination still isn’t worth it. The ONLY constant is that there is always a journey and there is always a destination. Sometimes you take the journey and the destination is a bunch of pages that never get finished. Sometimes the destination doesn’t come for years and years. That’s just a chance you have to be willing to take. If you’re not willing to take the risk, to put your heart and soul into something that you may never know the ending of, then perhaps that is not a journey you should take. This I know for sure – if you feel the journey burning in you and your fear of never finding a destination that you can be comfortable with – it will continue to burn and bubble up and always be at the front of your mind. Like I said, sometimes the journey is worth the destination – sometimes it’s worth it just to find out where the journey will lead you. In the end, you’ve got to figure out for yourself what you’re willing to do, where you’re willing to go to follow your dream, your journey. I’ve decided. I’m going to follow the journey that I find myself on and whatever the destination ends up being, I know that I am doing the right thing. Are you? If you’re not, why aren’t you? What is causing you to decide not to even take the journey? Come on…join me.
